Direct evidence: Show how you line up

– After your lead, that you’ve got the goods. This is your muscle section of your cover letter. You’re going to study your notes on the company or the job description, and then you’re going to spell out in a very obvious way This will likely be the longest section of your cover letter. I usually head into this section with this exact line. What specifically would I bring to XYZ Company in this role? and then develop a few quick bullet points, or preferred qualifications. For instance, if you’re great at business development and they’re looking for someone who can drive growth, spell that out right in this section. I typically emphasize these core points in bold so that the reviewer’s eyes go right to it. And then right after that point, of something you’ve done calls for experience negotiating contracts with vendors and strong problem solving skills. Two of your bullet points might read like this. Five plus years of experience negotiating contracts with entertainment and food vendors. In my current role, I’ve set up numerous vendor relationships with hospitality partners who support our galas and special events. I excel in bringing in vendors who consistently deliver exceptional results at a fair price. Unparalleled problem-solving skills. A great even coordinator can fact unexpected issues without breaking a sweat. This is one of my top strengths. I plan meticulously, looking at every contingency in advance. But if something crops up last minute, like the time I ordered 600 roses and received 600 hoses, I swiftly and calmly shift into resolution mode. Again, you want to spell out quickly and directly what makes you a great fit for the job and then share supporting evidence and then share supporting evidence to back up your claim. to back up your claim.
